The following steps guide the user through the installation process of the USB to TTL Cable. Step 1: Insert the USB to TTL cable into a free USB slot on your PC. Windows should detect the cable and open the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' Step 2:
Answer "No, not this time" to the Question "Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?" and Click Next to continue Step 3:
Insert the Driver CD that was supplied with the Cable and Click Next to continue Step 4:
The software drivers have not been Windows Logo Testetd, therefore click on 'Continue Anyway' Step 5:
The driver software for the USB to Cable has been installed, Click Finish to close the Wizard. Step 6: The installation process now continues to install the virtual com port on your PC, the steps are very similar to steps 2,3 and 4 above, When the software is completed the following dialog box appears:
Click Finish to close the Wizard and complete the installation process. Windows will have assigned a COM port number for the USB to TTL cable, this can be found by looking in the Windows Device Manager. Click here to see how to do that.
